An Australian solar installation company came to us with a CRM that was holding the business back. Built on an older, closed source licensed platform, it was expensive to run, slow to use and unreliable in its data. We replaced it with a custom CRM designed around how a solar business actually works from the first enquiry to installation, maintenance and STC submissions, and we continue to run and extend it today.

The challenge
The business ran on an ageing, closed-source CRM that cost a lot in licences and delivered little in return. Instead of supporting the team, it had become the biggest obstacle to getting work done.
- 01
Screens regularly took more than 30 seconds to load, slowing every task
- 02
Ambiguous, inconsistent data that staff couldn’t rely on for decisions
- 03
Weak automation and high licence costs, making daily operations a struggle
Our approach
- 1
Understand the business
Mapped the full customer journey pre-sales, quoting, installation, invoicing, maintenance and STCs and where the old system was failing each team.
- 2
Untangle the data
Planned the migration out of the closed legacy platform, resolving duplicate and ambiguous records so the new CRM started from data the team could trust.
- 3
Deliver in phases
Shipped the platform module by module, with the first phases in use within a few months while later phases were still being built.
- 4
Run it as a partner
After completion at the end of 2025, we took over management of the entire CRM and continue to deliver new features as the business grows.
The solution
A fast, custom CRM that brings the whole solar workflow into one place — built for the client’s processes rather than bent around a licensed product.
- Pre-sales pipeline from first enquiry to signed job
- Quotation and invoice generation from the same customer record
- Post-sales job management through to installation
- Maintenance and service tracking for installed systems
- STC management with data submission through BridgeSelect
- Data migrated and cleaned from the legacy CRM

The impact
Day-to-day operations that used to be a daily struggle now run from one fast, reliable system the team trusts. The business is no longer held back by an expensive licensed platform — and with SPAARG managing the CRM, new requirements become new features instead of new workarounds.
